Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP is platelet rich plasma protein. It is derived from your bodies own whole blood. The whole blood is placed in a centrifuge to separate out the platelet rich plasma from the other cellular products.

Bodyologie uses specific protocols during the preparation which yields 3 to 5 times the concentration of growth factors compared to regular whole blood.  Growth factors are used by the human body to promote wound healing and new tissue regeneration.

Within the PRP there are several growth factors that are involved in the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis). One of the key factors needed for fat tissue to remain viable during a fat transfer procedure is a healthy blood supply. During our natural breast and buttock augmentation procedure we add PRP directly to the fat that is being transferred. This extra step helps to greatly increase the viability and retention of the transferred fat by helping promote a new healthy blood supply to the area.
